Even though it sounds totally crazy, astronomers are very confident that black holes exist. Our galazy is really old, it should carry at least 100 million black holes but we’ve found only a couple of dozen of them.

For matter drawn into a black hole and becomes reduced in size to the singularity, what does the matter become when, say gold and carbon with a mix of other elements become one crushed single element?
All in a glorious mix of everything that ever was drawn in, what does it become?
